The OpenAFS Guardians are happy to announce the availability of the fourth
prerelease candidate of OpenAFS 1.8.0.

The changes since beta 3 include improved support for recent OS versions,
such as Linux 4.15 and MacOS 10.13, and revised code to avoid the
getcwd failures that are a perennial issue, recently prominent due
to the kernel used in RHEL 7.4. This is expected to be the final
beta version of 1.8.0.
Please assist the guardians by deploying and testing this release and
providing positive or negative feedback. Bug reports should be filed
to openafs-***@openafs.org ; reports of successes should be sent to
openafs-***@openafs.org.
